The Quebec Port Authority received two prizes
Québec City, March 25, 2011 - The Quebec Port Authority (QPA) is proud to announce that the Port of Quebec has been awarded two prizes for the quality of the services it provides cruise ships. Indeed, passengers and crew members interviewed by Dream World Cruise Destinations magazine designated the Port of Quebec for both the "Most efficient port services" and "Most responsive port" prizes during the largest meeting of the international cruise industry.
The "Most efficient port services" prize is awarded to the ports where the quality of pilotage, maritime agencies and others services offered by the port is in symbiosis with the expectations of the operations department of the cruise lines. Among the recipients in this category are the ports of Barcelona and Singapore. The Port of Quebec is receiving this honour for the first time.
As for the "Most Responsive Port" award, it is bestowed upon the port whose team responsible for the greeting and services offered to ships brilliantly meets the challenges linked to the various expectations and requests generated by cruise lines. It is the second time that the Port of Quebec is awarded this prize. "I am very happy and proud to be able to count on a team and on partners who go the extra mile in their work. These prizes relate perfectly to what we offer cruise lines, i.e. the red carpet treatment whenever their ships dock at our facilities," states Mario Girard, President and CEO of the Port of Quebec.
Next May, the QPA will launch the 2011 cruise season, which will be bringing several challenges and numerous novelties.
