Boarding now… for Destination Québec!

With the dream of a Québec cruise about to become a reality, now is the perfect time to think about adding a day or three before or after your cruise for a more in-depth understanding of destination Québec. Several cruise operators offer you the choice of embarking or disembarking at one or other of Montréal or Québec, and deciding in which direction you would like to experience your cruise.

Port of Québec
Embarking and disembarking at Québec is simple and straightforward. The port is conveniently situated in Old Québec and affords rapid access to city centre attractions. The airport is located about 20 minutes from the port and city centre; taxi fare is listed at $32.50.  Via Rail and Amtrak offer a variety of rail connections for individuals who prefer the train. Port of Montréal
Located a stone’s throw from the heart of Old Montréal, the Port of Montréal provides ready access to all manner of visitor amenities: vehicle rental agencies, rail station, intercity bus terminal, and so on. In need of hotel accommodations? Choose from the city’s extensive lineup of major chain properties such as Sheraton, InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Westin, Delta and others. You will also find an enticing selection of independent boutique hotels where comfort, charm and personalized service combine to provide a unique, superior quality guest experience.

Montréal-Trudeau International Airport serves over 25 US airports and fifty or so international destinations with over a hundred direct weekly flights. Connector flights through other Canadian airports provide seamless access to destinations elsewhere on the continent or in the world. The airport is located less than 20 kilometres from the city centre and is readily accessible by taxi for a fare of $38; a shuttle bus also operates to and from the city centre for $16 per adult passenger. All major vehicle rental agencies can be found on the arrivals concourse should you prefer to get about on your own.
