Fall schedule brimming with activity!

Intense and stimulating… That about sums up the coming weeks for Destination Saint Lawrence member ports of call. Indeed, from now on  through to October 27th, there will be at least one ship stopping in at one or other of the nine Saint Lawrence ports of call... for a total of some 150 ship visits.

Certain dates, such as September 20th and 26th, will have special significance for our port of call at Trois-Rivières which is preparing to welcome its first cruise ships ever.  "Local effervescence is palpable and everything is in place to welcome passengers from the Balmoral," confirmed Yolaine Masse, Manager of Tourism Trois-Rivières."

The Port of Québec is preparing for a fortnight of intense activity with the welcoming of five cruise ships per day on  September 28th and  on October 12th. "We are eager and ready to welcome the expected numbers of incoming cruiseshippers. We have done so on several occasions in the past and our facilities can most certainly handle an exercise on this nature," stated Marie-Louise Pineault of Québec International.

At our Gaspésie port of call, three ships will be greeted simultaneously on September 29th. The stage is set for similar action at Saguenay on October 2nd, and on September 29th, no fewer than three ships will be docking at the Port of Montréal.

This eventful period confirms keen cruise ship operator enthusiasm for Destination Saint Lawrence and the fall sailing season. To view details of scheduled Saint Lawrence stopovers, consult our calendar.
