This new interpretation centre tells the history of the site considered the birthplace of French civilization in America. A multimedia show, exhibits, discovery area, guided tours, cultural and educational activities invite you to relive the region's 400-year history.

Of French classical inspiration, this building from the second half of the 18th century is a testimony to the urban architecture of New France. In addition to recalling the history of the building, the A Sense of the Past exhibit presents reconstituted interiors from the 18th and 19th centuries, created using pieces from the Musée de la civilisation's collection.

The Musée is the oldest museum in Canada and has its roots in European religious and educational traditions. Located in a building that is part of the Séminaire de Québec, founded by Monseigneur de Laval in 1663, it is a witness and herald of a colourful past, worthy of the world's greatest epics.

The Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham presents Odyssey: A Journey through History on the Plains of Abraham. The Citadelle, also called the Gibraltar of America, is a national monument located on Cap Diamant. Built from 1820 to 1850, its star-shaped layout is characteristic of Vauban fortifications. The site is open to visitors during guided tours of the Musée Royal 22e Régiment.
