  • Saguenay National Park

    Saguenay National Park

    Surrounded by magnificent landscapes, the park offers activities for oudoors' fan: sea kayaking, zodiac boating, hiking, sailing, cruise excursions, interpretation centre, etc. Admire the breathtaking Notre Dame du Saguenay statue and discover nature at its grandest, where forces unleashed were once so powerful they created a fjord!

  • La Pulperie de Chicoutimi

    A vast cultural and tourism complex dedicated to preserving the region's heritage, art and history.  La Pulperie is a prime museum and historical site in the region with first-rate permanent and temporary exhibits.

  • La Fabuleuse

    La Fabuleuse

    Staged for more than 20 years, La Fabuleuse is a fantastic odyssey that features the history of the Kingdom of Saguenay - Lac-Saint-Jean from 1603 to nowadays. This extensive show, larger than life, brings on the stage 200 actors and grandiose audio-visual techniques. Who knows ? You may be chosen to head behind the scenes !

  • Hop-on / hop off Tourist bus

    Hop-on / hop off Tourist bus

    The new Tourist bus service takes you around the city's various tourist sites and attractions. The two loop-style circuits are so designed as to enhance the visitor access to the treasures of Chicoutimi and La Baie. Take the time to tour at leisure, Hop on, travelling from one site to the next and Hop off, when your personal interest is stirred.

  • Sainte-Rose-du-Nord

    Sainte-Rose-du-Nord

    Dubbed the ‘Pearl of the Fjord', Sainte-Rose-du-Nord is the perfect setting for a stopover, whether you are exploring the region on board an Fly boat, the excursion boat the Marjolaine or on a Bus Tour, the Fjord with its magnificent vistas will unveil itself.  Take the time to visit the Nature museum and the remarkable Chapel adorned with wooden sculptures crafted by its priest.  Just don't forget your camera!

  • Olivier Soapery- Economuseum

    The Savonnerie Olivier will uncover for you the secrets of soap making... a sensory experience unlike any other!  This traditional art involve a sound knowledge of botanical and essential oils therapeutic qualities.  Come learn about the history or soap making and attend a spirited talk by the master soap maker.  Excellent body care products, made with pure olive oil and planet friendly. You'll certainly want to bring some back with you.

  • The Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park 
    The Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park With a surface area of 1 245 km2, the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park has the distinctive feature of being jointly managed by Parks Canada and Parcs Québec. It is also unique because it is the first park in Québec to protect and showcase an admirable and exclusively marine environment. In all, more than fifteen species of marine mammals have been reported, including the St. Lawrence beluga, a protected species. The park can be explored via several sites, interpretation centres or cruise companies, all of which are found in the territory bordering the park.  
  • The New France site - Theme park

    The New France site - Theme park

    Reconstitution of Québec City in the 17th century; you'll come across a farm, Huron village, Champlain's house, a chapel etc... Complete with artifacts, furniture, tools and equipment. Staff trained and immersed in the 17th century, brings back to life settlers and provides an authentic experience to the visitor.  A spectacular equestrian show tells the history of the Canadian horse breed.

  • Musée du Fjord

    This museum unveils all of the Saguenay Fjord secrets.  It is at once a laboratory and a living museum as well a place of learning, observation and discovery. It tells the story of the Saguenay society and the pioneers who shaped history.

  • Le Chevrier du Nord - Economuseum

    Le Chevrier du Nord - Economuseum

    A family farm and economuseum, it makes mohair garments in the traditional manner, using the mohair from their own Angora goats.  They make the yarns and fabrics that go into their garments.  Farming, goat herding and clothing design are all part of a typical day, Chevrier du Nord runs a complete operation through all the stages of production.

  • Village historique de Val Jalbert

    This Theme park tells a fascinating Pulp & Paper industrial history, Val-Jalbert Historic Village is truly a must-see.  The ghost town features a majestic 72-meter-high Ouiatchouan waterfall and is nestled in a beautiful setting.  This Theme Park is a reminder of the Industrial era and booming company-towns.

    Saguenay offers a large variety of restaurants for all taste, from gourmet meals to local specialties or quick lunch. Let your taste buds be tempted by one of our restaurants.

  • Shopping  

    Good shopping can be done, it has 5 Shopping Malls nearby, one of which has over 200 boutiques, a Fall Market at a walking distance from the wharf and a shopping strip in every downtown.  Saguenay is famed for the high quality of its craftsmen products and their affordable prices.

  • Airport
